Hi my name is Barry Huskinson. I reside in Worthing on the south coast of England and have been involved in bikesport since I was 5 years old.
I spent my youth and a fair chunk of my early 20's competing in both cycle and motorcycle trials competitions and found success in both disciplines claiming a couple of British Titles.

I worked with sponsors, race teams and equipment manufactures to develop products, I performed in shows and exhibitions alongside competing in world championship level events.

After completing my university degrees I went on to work for OSET Electric Bikes and contributed to developing a range of products while overseeing the workshop and warranty claims. I went onto work in management for multiple sportswear manufactures.

In 2018 I started side project to supplement my regular job and to better support my young family and set about focusing on my lifelong passion for two wheels.

Originally known as Pedal Fit, I set up and run a bike handling skills club in partnership with Southdowns Leisure. I coached and led rides that aimed to improve technique. As this weekly club grew I often got asked for help by members to repair or service their bikes and so I obliged and began to offer mobile cycle repairs.

A combination of COVID and a nasty ACL injury saw me take a step back from operating Pedal-Fit until 2023 when I re-focused on the servicing and repair work and rebranded my small operation as BH Performance.

Today I operate from my humble but well equipped workshop, my van or even under my gazebo at events. I offer local delivery and collection and have expanded my work to offer servicing of not just bicycles but e-bikes and motorcycles too.

I have a wealth of experience gained from preparing bikes for top level competition, I am a trained Cytech certified mechanic and I really don't like the thought of a non runner. Id much rather fix it and prolong its life. Enough things get thrown away nowadays but not the bikes I work on.
